Bell Ringing

We rang the bells for the Salvation Army again this year. I must say that Bennett was the most well-behaved of the kids. He just sat in his stroller for the first 1 1/2 hours and then I rocked him to sleep for a nap for the last 1/2 hour. Maya just wanted to be held the whole time. Jadyn did not behave very well this year. I think she was overtired from having her birthday party earlier that day.

We still enjoyed ringing the bells (especially when our friends joined us for the last hour and we sang Christmas carols). Hopefully the girls are starting to understand how blessed we are and how we need to give of our time and money to those who are less fortunate.

What a great tradition, and an awesome life lesson for your children. We admire you all for braving the cold. Brrrr! I'll bet my little man would have a blast ringing the bell for five minutes ... and then it would be us chasing him around the parking lot. Cute pictures, the birthday party looked like a blast! Little girl heaven!

When did Maya get a brown coat? She was wearing a turquoise one last time I was with her.

Yeah, I had gotten her a brown one to match Jadyn b/c the turquoise one is really too big for her. It is a little thin so I was debating keeping it or not. I decided to keep it since it fits safely under her car seat straps. I just layered 2 hoodies under it for when we were outside :)
