Say Cheese

As I was getting ready to post some items on craigslist, Maya saw the camera and said "cheese" while waiting expectantly for me to take her picture. She then instructed me to take pictures of Jadyn ("JJ") and Bennett ("Gaga"). So, here are the kiddos at 9:15 this morning...crazy hair and all!

"Little" Man is 2 months old

Bennett had his 2 month doctor's appointment today. Here are his stats:

weight: 14 lbs .5 oz (90-97%)
length: 24" long (75-90%)
head circumference: 16 3/4 (90-97%)

He is growing like a weed and definitely a healthy boy. I am not sure how much longer I will be able to call him my little man.

Bennett's Blessing

Bennett received a beautiful blessing from Nathan this past Sunday. Nathan's whole family was able to come out to attend. Bennett sure looked handsome.

He also turned 2 months old this past Monday. Wow, time has flown by. I am so grateful for him. He is so calm and sweet and full of smiles and coos lately.

Cousin fun!

We had a mini family reunion in conjunction with Bennett's blessing. The cousins all had a blast playing together. It is unfortunate they all live so far away.

Sisterly love

I decided to take a picture of Bennett since he was looking so cute in his church outfit. Then, Jadyn decided she wanted a picture with Bennett. Then, of course, Maya wanted a picture with Bennett too. As you will see, Maya still does not quite get the concept of taking a picture with him :)

My little firecrackers

We had a great 4th of July (well, 3rd of July actually since we celebrated yesterday) together as a family. We went to the parade in the morning and then took the whole crew to the fireworks at night. This was Maya's (and Bennett's) first experience with fireworks. We woke her up at 9:45 to head to the fireworks. She was confused about what we were doing. She loved the fireworks (and the popcorn she got to eat during it) and just kept saying bye-bye on the way home because she was sad they were over.

Jadyn made a little friend right before the fireworks started and the friend invited her to sit on her blanket. Those two little girls were hilarious because they were both silly and were getting excited with each firework and screaming whoa, rolling around, and just being funny. Maya then thought you were supposed to say whoa after each firework and started doing that as well.
