Everyone all together!

We had a chance for all of my family to be together on Easter. Not a small feat, considering there are 7 kids, 2 spouses, 4 grandchildren, and one Mom/Grandma = 14. Just imagine what we will be like in a few more years!

Carter loved being around Maya. He would always try to make her happy (by giving her Legos and action figures). He also loved feeding her. Now, anyone that knows Carter well will know that this is unusual for him. He usually does not like babies....or girls in general!

Jadyn was super excited about everything in her basket. She did not even notice that the Easter Bunny did not bring her candy. Wonder how long I can get away with that?!!

Jadyn's first Halloween costume was a plush bunny. So, I thought it would be perfect to dress Maya up for Easter in this costume. She was too cute and was very cooperative (unlike Jadyn was at her age) until she started to get hot towards the end.

And here is my big girl Easter Bunny, Jadyn (3 years 4 months):

She wanted to try on the costume and I said she was too big. She said, "I am not too big for the head part, Mommy". You're right, once again you are too smart for me. Okay, try it on!

I knew she was a smart girl!

Yesterday was Maya's first "Document in the Baby Book" word. She has been babbling for weeks and even forming words like yeah, dada, mama, etc.

However, yesterday was the first time I could tell she was using this word with meaning.
So, what was the word??









Mama!!


I knew she was smart. Both she and Jadyn both spoke "Mama" as their first word. Maya is a little earlier than Jadyn. Jadyn spoke "Mama" at 10 months and Maya is just past 8 months.

It is so cute everytime she says it because I get so excited and then Maya will just grin from ear to ear. I love being a Mom!

8 Months Old and Growing!

Maya is now 8 months old. She is still not rolling to get places. She will roll from her tummy to her back and roll on her side and in circles. However, she has only rolled to her tummy a handful of times. She is pretty good at sitting up independently. She is getting her first tooth. And of course, she is still as sweet as ever! I think that is always going to be the case with her.
