Maya's 5th Birthday!

Maya turned 5 on July 31st, 2013.  At her well child visit, here were her stats:

Weight: 38 lbs 8 oz (45%)
Height: 42 1/4 inches (47%)

So, Maya is just about average for her height and weight :)

We have decided to let the children have their first friend birthday party when they turn 5...so this year was Maya's year!

She was so excited for weeks leading up to her birthday.  We decided to plan outdoor water games.  I mean, it is the end of July, the weather should be perfect, right?  WRONG!  The weather was overcast and probably only 70 degrees.  We decided to go ahead with the water games anyway.  The kids had fun, but some of them were shivering by the end!  She had 8 little friends come to celebrate.

Present time: Maya got a lego set from Mom & Dad, fairy squinkies from her siblings, princess underwear, a skirt, and money from Grandma Julie & Papa Nate, and a Squinkie castle with $ from Grandma Ann & Papa Gordon
