Now that Bennett is 2, he has quite the little personality. So, I thought I would document 24 current things about Bennett (1 for each month of his life so far :)
1. Bennett loves his blankie. He gets mad when I put it back in his bed. He will go to great lengths to get it back out of the crib.
2. He is wearing 3T shirts and 2T pants/shorts. He wears a size 7 shoe.
3. He loves to watch movies. He will sit and watch a whole movie with his sisters. Neither of the girls would sit for a whole movie at this age...but they never got a chance either. As he is the third kid, the rules are a little more relaxed :)
4. He does not like to sit still. Even when he sits on your lap, he is constantly wiggling.
5. He loves to be outside. He will sit in the front of his stroller and not make a peep the whole time. He loves to stroll and it seems to calm him.
6. He is almost always well-behaved at stores. He will just contently sit in the front of the shopping cart/stroller and look around while we are shopping. Oh, except he loves to smoosh the bread! He will reach into the back of the cart to smoosh bread :)
7. He has the nastiest diapers. Seriously. Too bad he is nowhere close to being ready to potty-train.
8. He loves to sleep with 2 puppies. He has claimed these two of Jadyn's stuffed animals. She is not too happy about it, but she usually lets him sleep with them.
9. He hates having his teeth brushed. He has since birth. If you were here while I was brushing his teeth, you would think I was hurting him from how intensely he screams about it.
10. He loves to wash his hands and use the "soap". He is so cute when he says "soap". He has to have his hands completely dry afterwards. If they are not completely dry, he will whine for the towel to finish drying them himself.
11. He still loves bath time.
12. He loves to play outside: bubbles, kites, sidewalk chalk, digging in dirt, playing at the beach, etc. I seriously think he could play outside all day and be content. So different than the girls.
13. He likes to look at the Q-tips after I clean his ears. He says "yucky away" and then I throw it away :)
14. He is an extremely picky eater. I seriously don't know what he survives on. He eats practically nothing. For example, this is what he ate today: 1 bowl of cereal, snack at nursery, 2 slices of cucumber, small amount of pasta, yogurt, couple bites of turkey sausage (he likes to eat while I prep food but then won't eat the same foods when we sit down to dinner), 5 orange slices. That's all. Crazy!
15. He loves, loves treats.
16. He is an excellent sleeper. He will usually go right to sleep at night. He also usually takes a 2-2.5 hr nap.
17. He loves to follow Jadyn and Maya around. If he wants them to play, he says "Come on, Come on" and gets really mad if they don't come.
18. He loves to help me cook. He gets mad when I tell him he can't help with something (add something to a pot on stove, cutting with a knife, etc).
19. He loves parks. He loves to go down the slides over and over.
20. He is very aggressive lately. He does not like to share and if Maya takes a toy he immediately tries to hit/bite. It is a difficult stage :(
21. He loves to read books and point out pictures of words he knows. His vocabulary is amazing and has grown so much in the last few months.
22. He loves to sweep. As soon as he sees me get out my broom, he grabs the little kid broom/dust pan. He is actually quite helpful and if he can't get a crumb into his dustpan with his broom he will pick up the crumb and put it in the dustpan. So cute :)
23. He loves to try to get into my make-up and hair things. Not sure if I should be worried!
24. He is a sweet boy and has a smile that melts my heart.
We love you Bennett. Our family is so much better with you in it. We are grateful everyday for your sweet little spirit.
