Happy Half Birthday Bennett!

Bennett turned 6 months old yesterday. It is hard to believe it has been 6 months since he was born. I am so grateful for him. He is such a sweet and content baby.

He tried rice cereal for the first time yesterday. Just like his sisters, he was not too keen on it and kept looking at me like, "If this is what food is all about, I'll pass". Surprisingly though, he ended up finishing all the cereal despite not really enjoying it. He must know he has to get through a couple weeks of rice cereal before he gets more flavor!

Here is some info about our little guy:
1. He is a charmer and loves to smile at anyone.
2. He loves to flip onto his belly. He can roll the other way as well, but hardly ever does. He just likes to flip onto his belly and then look around at all the action.
3. His sisters amuse him. He watches them run around with this amused/fascinated look on his face.
4. He is currently fitting into 9-12 month shirts and 6-9 month pants and 12 month pajamas. He has a long torso like his Daddy.
5. He still loves bath time although with winter coming he hates the colder air after the bath.
6. He still wakes up frequently during the nighttime. Good thing he is cute or it might make for one angry mama.
7. He still sleeps swaddled. He is becoming skilled at getting his arms out of the swaddle blanket and then scratching his forehead like crazy. This probably accounts for half of the time he wakes up at night. Usually he just needs wrapped back up so he doesn't attack himself!
8. He still spits up a ton. Once again, good thing he is cute!
9. He likes to sit in his little Bebepod chair at the dinner table and watch the girls eat. It is hard to get the girls to focus on eating because they love to get him to smile/laugh at them.
10. He makes me smile. Everyday. He is just that sweet that I can't get enough of him. Ever.

I can't wait for the next 6 months with you little guy! I absolutely adore you.

Not newborn-sized anymore:

Loved (sometimes a little too much) by his sisters:

"What is this stuff?":

"There Mom, I finished it....can I have something else now?":

What a cutie! love the picture with all the littles in cuddly jammies. Are those bumbo chairs worth it? They didn't exist with my first 3.

I love the pic with all 3 in their jammies! Those cupcake ones the girls have on are adorable!
Collin is almost 3 months and is spitting a ton as well. I'm hoping he will grow out of it when he starts eating food. Today I got dressed for church and then right when I picked him up he spit all down the front of me so I had to change! It is a good thing they are cute-because you just can't get mad at that!

How fun! Hey, have you tried the Kiddapotamus swaddle blankets? It's the only one I have found that actually keeps my kids wrapped up tight. And Tommy wakes up if he gets unswaddled. Look on ebay- that's where I've always gotten mine :)

You make and grow cute children! The rice cereal comment made me laugh. I had a girlfriend that would switch babysitting time with me in Arizona. Her little man was a very accomplished eater - it was his favorite thing and he was a bit of a chunker as a result. If she gave him something he didn't like, he would still eat it ... but cry the entire time. Hilarious!! Way to go Bennett trying new things. : )
