We had a fun 4th of July. We started off at our church Pancake breakfast, went to a parade, and then had friends over for swimming and a BBQ.
This was the first year we let Jadyn stay up for the fireworks. We did some sparklers at home and then Jadyn and I drove (in our pajamas) over to see the fireworks. We got there right before they began and hopped out of our car. She really enjoyed them, but I could tell she was getting tired (it was close to 11 pm). So, we headed out before they were finished and she watched the rest on the way home in the car. We avoided all the traffic this way! Once we got home, it was straight to bed only to be kept awake for another hour by our neighbor's private arsenal of fireworks!

The girls look cute in red, white and blue. I read an article that the temp of sparklers gets up to 1000 degrees or something??? The article said that most parents don't know how hot they get.
Fun 4th! Maybe next year we'll come up and go swimming and have a BBQ at your place. We really want to visit!
