It is rainy and overcast today so we have been staying inside :)  Here are some videos for your enjoyment:

Bennett is a dancer

Recently, Bennett loves to dance.  He is especially fond of public restrooms that play music so he can groove while I use the restroom.  I tried to get him to dance on camera, but of course he did not.  So, here is a cute video of Maya and Bennett where I am attempting to get them to show their dance moves:

Socks with Sandals

So, if Bennett had his way he would be a major fashion faux pas.  He loves socks.  Even when he was a man of few words (side note: his speech has taken off in the last couple weeks :), socks was one of the few words he said.  He always made sure to tell me to put on his socks, loved putting away his socks in his closet, loved getting the socks out of the closet, etc.  Now that we are in summer here (80+ degrees today!) I put on the cute little brown sandals I bought him.  He threw a major fit and kicked them off yelling socks, socks.  He kept throwing fits all during errands and then when I woke him up from his nap he was crying for socks again!

As a parent we all have to pick our battles.  If this continues, he may just be seen around town with socks under his sandals :)

Sister Friends

My sisters (Megan & Sarah) have this phrase that they often use for each other: "sister friend".  It really fits for Jadyn and Maya.  They are such good friends and really enjoy spending time together.  I mentioned once how Megan and I used to love to put our beds together when we were younger.  They thought that sounded fun.  I told them they had to behave all week and then they could do it on Friday night.

Mommy gives Bennett a haircut

Bennett's hair grows really fast.  Aunt Sarah just cut it two months ago, but it was getting super shaggy again.  So, I decided to be brave and use the clippers on him.  As you can tell, he was not the biggest fan.  By the end, it was hard to keep him still...even with starburst as bribes.  It is not the most even, but will work...at least until we can see Aunt Sarah again :)
