Bennett's 1st Day of Preschool (10/1/14)

Bennett started his first day of preschool on October 1st.  He is attending a program held at a local high school where the preschool teacher is aided by several high school students.  He attends TWTh from 8:15-10:15.  He is enjoying it so far!

Cubs game

Nathan and Bennett had a chance to go to a Cubs game at Wrigley field with Jeremy.  It was the first major league baseball game for both of them.  They had a blast!

Asher is a full walker!

Asher took his first steps on 7/17/14 at almost 13 months and was a full walker by 13.5 months.  He is a busy boy!

Jadyn and Maya start school (8/25/14)

The girls started their new school on August 25th.  Jadyn is in 3rd grade and her teacher is Ms. Hersted.  Maya is in 1st grade and her teacher is Ms. Vance.

The girls did surprisingly well with starting a new school. It helped that they had already made some neighborhood friends over the summer so they felt more comfortable :)

Asher's 1st haircut (8/7/14)

I gave Asher his first haircut on August 7th when he was 13.5 months old.  He sat so still....it was wonderful!

Before: a little shaggy

Before: side shot

After: what a handsome boy!

He sat so still I was even able to do around the ears pretty well :)

Maya turns 6! (July 31st, 2014)

Maya is now 6!  What a sweet girl she is.  She is always willing to help and will say, "Yes, Mommy" when I ask her to help.  She is especially helpful at watching Asher so I can get things done.

She had a fun day.  We had donuts in the morning, played at the park, had a fun lunch of goldfish shaped mac n cheese and cherries, she got to pick out a redbox movie, she picked Wendy's for dinner and was excited to be allowed to get a kids meal!, then back home for cupcakes/icecream

We love having Maya in our family and enjoy watching her learn and grow!

Megan's visit: Part 5

We finished up Megan's visit with: visit to Twisted Cow, a sister's trip to downtown (boat tour, Portillos, Cheesecake Factory), more park visits, green bean/raspberry picking followed by doughnuts, and more playing!

We wish Megan lived right next door :)
